day 221, Don Det

Didn’t really get back to sleep after my rendezvous with Deem, though got woken up by my alarm to have breakfast with Deem, Miya and Andy before they set off at 8. Everyone bar Andy was in a state, sat around piecing bits and pieces of the night together, Graeme and M were up for the occasion and was fun. Before food even came it was time to say our goodbyes. I’m sad to see those three off, along with Irish Dave who is also going with them,  I think, as well as Graeme and M, they‘re awesome people. All of them are ridiculously kind, Andy is bloody funny and proper smart, though finds the little things hilarious, such as the air bubble that escapes from your shorts when you go swimming, Deem is super generous and just a dude, self described as not a party animal he’s seemed to find himself last one in each night , Miya is lovely, so nice, always smiling and sees the best in people, Graeme is like a big bear with a soft centre and a heart of gold, the epitome of manliness, climbing shit, jumping of shit,  fixing things while being smitten with puppies and babies and all that jazz. M is marvellous, bloody gifted and super social, while Irish Dave is awesome, a IT consultant who pioneered the Mohawk, (“because no-one expects a IT consultant to have a fucking Mohawk!”) and is just a dude. It’s been bloody lovely travelling with them, really good getting to know people on a deeper level and being comfortable, though have another couple of days with Graeme and M, plus the dutch girls Lizzy, Lise and their mate are coming down, so not lonely yet! I went down to the beach, read a bit of my new book, The Time Traveller’s Wife, computered for a bit then watched the Departed at the only place which has a tv, it was  fucking fantastic. From there met up with Graeme, M, lizzy, Lise and others, had a bit of a chat though as feeling rough and had a bloody long day turned in around nine.
