day 245, Hanoi

Woke up early to get jobs done. After breakfast we split up and I went off to sort my visa extension. I didn’t get it done as they give you an extra month from the stamp date, not the visa expiry date so going to try and do it in Hoi An or somewhere. Read part of The Great Gatsby which is excellent, met up with Michael for lunch, went in search of warmer clothes and chilled out. Did nothing really with the afternoon, got close shaves with Michael and went out for dinner. At our table on the balcony two aussie girls joined us called Emily and Rosie, they were really nice and afterwards went for hot chocolates and watched a band play before turning in ready for the ride part of the way to Sapa tomorrow! Also if we can handle the cold the plan’s expanded to ride to the northern-most part of Vietnam!
