day 57, budapest

Yesterday In the evening me, Michael and eliot went out and got Chinese for tea, which was yummy and cheap, a really nice change from what have been eating over the last couple of weeks, no matter how delicious it has been.  This morning we thought we’d treat ourselves and hit up a Turkish bath. We went to rudas Turkish bath which was really nice, a big warm centre bath, then in the corner’s 5 baths going from 28degrees to 42 degrees, plus 3 different sections of sauna in different temperatures and 2 bloody hot steam rooms. When we walked in they gave us each half an apron, or how Michael preferred to call them, a loin cloth, to cover our modesty, however when we walked into the bath the loin cloth was optional and the place was crawling with old men. We spent a couple hours in there and really enjoyed it, hopping between the different sections and just sitting in warm/cold water. After that went into the town centre to the big market and got some amazing goulash for lunch, before wondering around and having a look. We headed back to the hostel via a bit of a climb to where a monument was, which gave us great views over Budapest. Once back at the hostel they left to catch their train to prague, while I walked around for a bit longer and found out about the train to Bratislava.
